Recruiting and Scholarships: An Athlete’s Perspective (air date: September 20, 2010) -In part 1 of a 2 part series, we look a little deeper into what athletes consider when choosing a university to continue their education and athletic careers.  Ryan sheds some light on his football experiences including transitioning from high school football to junior football, the thrill of playing on Saturday afternoons on ESPN at the University of Central Florida, and getting the opportunity to be a part of the CIS Champion Bisons.

We’re joined by Erica Holmes and Sarah Stebeleski. Erica Holmes is a former player on the Bisons womens hockey team and Sarah is a former player on the Bisons womens hockey team and a current member of the Bisons golf team. The ladies share their experiences on becoming a Bison and fill us in on how scholarships work.

In this weeks fantasy football segment, Henry fills us in on the results of week 1 action in the Athlete’s Angle listener league and makes a bold prediction of just who is the early favourite to take the league (I’ll spare you the suspense, he’s predicting himself).  Henry walks us through the disappointing individual performers from week 1 and whether or not they’re worth keeping around.
