In Monday night NHL action, Anaheim Ducks forward and former Winnipeg Jets superstar Teemu Selanne became just the fourth player in NHL history to score a hat-trick at the age of 40 or older. Check out that shake on the penalty shot!
Selanne factored in on every one of the Ducks goals notching the hat trick and adding two assists as the Ducks topped the Colorado Avalanche by a score of 5-4. Selanne is having a great season with the Ducks as he has recorded 28 goals and 75 points in 67 games played.
Two of the better stories to come out of the NHL this season have to be the possible return of the Winnipeg Jets and Teemu Selanne’s still getting the job done at 40. Is anybody getting nostalgic yet? Remember when Selanne broke into the NHL some 20 years ago and tallied a record-breaking 76 goals and 132 points in his first season as a Jet? I do. The record breaking goal. The celebration.
Is Selanne your favourite Jet of all-time? If not, who is?
