NBA’s Worst Play of the Year 2011

Von Wafer of the  Boston Celtics  is a little quick to celebrate what he thinks was a ‘poster’ style dunk. Turns out the attempt was just bad. Now we often see missed dunks throughout the year but have you ever seen a guy mean mug the crowd after a missed dunk? Well it’s possible that you have. Have you seen him mean mug the crowd on a missed dunk then eventually return to the court just to run into his own player? The same player that grabbed the rebound from his misdunk? Not only that he also caused him to double dribble! This might just be the first time a player in the NBA was responsible for two offensive turnovers in less than 5 seconds.

If I’m a Celtics fan, and I’m not (Go Knicks!), I think this is all you need to see to know they are leaving the playoffs in 5 games. Check it out.

  1. He was just trying to prove that “ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!”

  2. This couldn’t have happened to a player with a more vanilla name than Von Wafer. I think after he finished mean mugging the crowd he went home and visited

  3. What does a guy have to do around here to get a “that joke is wafer thin”?

Plus, I believe it’s Baron Von Wafer.

  4. It was Baron but after that missed dunk he was downgraded to Count Von Wafer.
