Anaheim Ducks forward Bobby Ryan was suspended for two games today following this stomp on the foot of Nashville Predators defenceman Jonathan Blum. The Ducks forward will be sorely missed as he was third on the team with 34 goals during the regular season and he added two goals last night in the Ducks 5-3 win. It is starting to look more and more like the Ducks are going to have to rely on the 40-year-old Teemu Selanne to help them through the first round.
I’m glad the league is becoming, albeit slowly, more strict with its rulings but this incident some how got more games than half the concussion hits this year. I understand this action cannot be tolerated but two playoff games is HUGE! I’m surprised the suspension is so long, who’s with me?
